Hot pink polish and fishnet stockings
short skirt, tall stiletto heels
low cut shirt, exposing raw skin
sick with sex appeal
boys looking, longing to cop a feel,
examining legs closer than a coroner
sizing her up, licking their lips
tricking themselves into believing it’s possible.
Then
SNAP!
And she’s gone in the blink of an eye.
Real or imaginary?
